Finally, a gel eyeliner that actually stays in place all day.
Up until now I’ve had a love/hate relationship with gel eyeliners, on one hand you have a lot of control while applying, you can create different effects with different brushes, and they were the only type of eyeliner I could create a wing with, while on the other hand I wasn’t atisfied with the gel eyeliners I tried. The first gel eyeliner I tried was the famous Blacktrack Fluidline by MAC, which always ended up beneath and around my eyes and refused to stay in place. The second gel eyeliner I tried was by E.L.F. also not a huge success, the eyeliner dried out without only a couple of weeks. I had almost given up hope on gel eyeliners when my rescue came in the form of the Inglot AMC Eyeliner Gel Matte.
The Inglot eyeliner had been lying in my make-up stash for a while, I was so fed up with gel eyeliners that I almost forgot about it. A couple of months ago I decided to give it a try and it didn’t let me down.
Inglot Matte Collection AMC Eyeliner Gels come in small plastic tubs, far more travel friendly than the MAC Fluidline glass jars and the comparison doesn’t end there. Inglot gel eyeliners contain 5,5 grams of product while MAC Fluidlines only contain 3 grams of product and the best thing is that the Inglot eyeliner is cheaper. The Inglot eyeliner has a soft, creamy consistency that is easy to apply to the eyelid. The eyeliner dries very quickly and when it’s dry it’s waterproof and doesn’t smudge or crease and therefore this is also a great product to use on your waterline.

The only downside to this product is that it’s harder to remove than all the other eyeliners I’ve ever tried so you can’t really make mistakes. If you happen to make a mistake you must try correct it immediately because once this eyeliner dries down you can only remove it with make-up remover. At the end of the day the trick to remove this eyeliner is to let the make-up remover soak a bit into to eyeliner and then gently wipe it away. It’s the price you have to pay for having perfect eyeliner during the day.

I have nothing but positive things to say about this eyeliner. I’ve been using it for a while now and it hasn’t dried out or cracked. There are 20 colours to choose from and I’m thinking of getting another one. If there are any colours you recommend, please let me know.

Is it darker than maybelline?
To be honest, I don’t know.
@sunny the inglot gel liner pot is about twice the amount of the maybelline one, so in the end you are actually saving money.
I had the drying out problem with my MAC gel liner. I don’t even use it anymore, I always use liquid, but I do want to try this one now!
You should! this is cheaper than the MAC gel eyeliner, the lid closes better and I have been using it for a couple of months now and it hasn’t dried out yet. I have nothing but love for this product.
Oh wow, I’m so sorry to hear most gel liners don’t stay put on you! I haven’t had any problems with gel liners so far, be it Maybelline, MAC, or Bobbi Brown! I’m glad to hear this one does the trick, though many industrial-strength products do come with the hard-to-remove side effect. It looks REALLY REALLY black though, probably more black than any gel liner I have seen!
I also heard great things about Maybelline and Bobbi Brown. I’m considering to buy one from Maybelline next, since they’re quite affordable. I’m not sure if I’m willing to take the risk with Bobbi Brown because that brand is more expensive and if it doesn’t work for me I would have wasted a lot of money. This is far blacker than Blacktrack indeed, that’s something I’m very happy with, Blacktrack often was not black enough for me so I had to intensify it with some black eyeshadow on top.
Yeah when it comes to black gel liners I’d repurchase Maybelline. I don’t see that much of any difference between that and the more expensive options. MAC and BB are more for alternative colors!
MAC doesn’t have that many colours in my opinion and what I know of Bobbi Brown is that her gel eyeliners are mostly dark colours. If you’re looking for bright colours you should check out Inglot, they have everything, some examples: white, bright yellow, red, teal, while they also have browns and blacks.
It looks like a great matte black gel eye liner. I am not happy with MAC Blacktrack Fluidline, so I will have try the Inglot one. Very detailed blog post. I love it. I think everyone wants to find the perfect eye liner for themselves.
